Hello friends, for those who don’t know me, my name is Kira H. I’m a self-employed piano teacher, and author of the webcomic @somethingyouwant . About 6 months ago, I was diagnosed with kidney cancer – specifically Renal Cell Carcinoma of the XP-11 translocation subtype. This subtype of cancer is rare, highly aggressive, and difficult to treat. I have had my entire right kidney removed, and have just been taken off of my immunotherapy trial due to the speed and severity that my cancer had spread. I am now paying for my treatment commercially, and have also been unable to work due to the pain that my cancer causes me.
So! I have set up a YouCaring to help with medical and living costs as I move through this difficult time in my life. I have already received so much love and support from friends, family, acquaintances, and even total strangers, and I am so, so grateful for everything everyone has done for me so far.
I do believe that I will be able to beat this cancer someday, and I will keep pushing forward until I do. Thank you so much, I love you all 💕

Kira’s been battling a highly aggressive cancer and even though shes been very strong it would help her out a lot to get some help.
