I received an eMail update from Stefan’s friend Mark via his GoFundMe and, well, read for yourselves:
“Friends and supporters,
This is the update I never wanted to write. During moments of distress and heartache, time can become a friend and ease us down the road from our pain. Our hearts become a little lighter and we allow ourselves to hope.
But as many of you know, cancer has its own agenda. Stefan’s post-surgery diagnosis revealed devastating news – his condition has progressed to Stage 4. As his wife Steina said, “life expectancy is significantly impaired.”
Despite the best efforts of his excellent Icelandic medical team, and Stefan’s personal heroism, there is no apparent cure. There are always experimental processes, and they will be woven into the fabric of Stefan’s care if at all possible.
But for now and the immediate future, family and friends are concentrating on being positive, giving Stefan whatever he needs to recover from his most recent surgery, and regain his energy for as long as possible.
He is an extraordinary man – do I need to tell you that? He is moving beyond fear to a courageous and practical frame of mind. He has plans for several projects which I am certain will delight his fans worldwide.
And so I come to the part of this message where I put on my fundraising hat. You have all been so generous and kind these past few months, as our running total will attest. Can you do more?
It’s hard to ask, but that is my job and I’m going to keep asking until people start throwing rocks at me.
I want us to raise a staggering amount so that Stefan will not have to bear the additional worry of his family’s future, at least in the short term.

Why did Snapchat think it was a great idea to let others see where exactly you are? This could actually lead to terrible consequences. Like the National Security Agency spying on every and each of us wasn’t enough, now Snapchat allows stalkers and (potential) rapists see where you are at any moment.
For ghost mode zoom out instead of zooming in on the camera.

I immediately went and changed the setting as soon as I learned this. Also, why the hell do you suddenly have to have locations on to access ALL filters? Is it for this tracking crap?
I can’t stand this fucking safe mode, sorry if i swear but I’m just so mad at tumblr right now. I always loved tumblr because it’s so full of all kind of different stuff and your dashboard is what you choose to see and follow, it had so much freedom to the user it was amazing. Now half of the contenent, including a good bunch of harmless post has became unaccesible, it just limits the experience alltogether. If I follow someone I trust them to not put on my dash something I don’t wanna see, and if it happens and I’m not ok with it I can just unfollow them I don’t need tumblr to be my mommy and don’t let me see stuff I chose to see.
Not only this is usless because if minors want to go se p/0rn they can just make a new account and that’s it but it’s just really annoying. Half of the posts it block aren’t even n/sfw, I know because you can just open the blog on another window to let you see and this is what it blocked
are you fucking serious tumblr??? please don’t tell me this gifset was blocked because it contained the world rainbow…… meanwhile I still find half naked women taking sefies in the search results, if they wanted to do something to protect the children they could have get rid of all those annoying p/0rn bots that creeply follow minors.
It’s just useless, I could understand if it was for kids under 12/13 but honestly, kids aren’t stupid. They are smart enough to know what they should and shouldn’t look up. Tumblr is NOT these kids parents, it could have done some parental control mode or something like that but nope! What is funnier for me is that age of consent here is 14 (16 in america), this means a kid can legally hook up with the first stranger they met but they can’t see a fantasia rainbow gifset.
All this situation is hilaryous/annoying af and I just hope staff will listen to us this one time only.
hello! I don’t know if anyone has already made a post about this before, but I just stumbled upon this app made specifically for when you’ve gone into a nonverbal anxiety attack!!!
it was made by Jeroen De Busser who is an autistic computer science student.
the app is really easy to use! all you do is open it and hand your phone to someone you need to communicate with during an attack but physically cannot, and it shows this cool little alert for the person to read, and then it takes them to an easy to use chat (that looks a lot like texting! except both of you are communicating using the same device).
the alert message is completely customizable and you can have it say whatever you need!
the app is called Emergency Chat and it’s available in the Apple Store and google play store.
I highly recommend it to anyone who might need it 🙂
